In our lab, we focus on studying many-body entanglement realized by ultracold atoms, which is a powerful tool in both fundamental researches and physical applications.
Prof. Hu is entitled as one of “MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 in China” recently due to his remarkable contribution in quantum computation and quantum simulation. He developed a new laser-cooling scheme, and realized Bose-Einstein Condensate with only lase cooling for the first time.
Non-equillium physics and dynamical behavior has been widely discussed these days, especially with the extension of quantum phase transition. Kibble Zurek mechanism is a commonly used approach to investigate the dynamical behavior near phase transition point, based on the spontaneous symmetry breaking theory.
We use ultracold atoms to explore quantum information science!
